"Can you answer me one question?" Graldin asked after a while. There was no road to Nyttherion, so they had to pull the carts through the forest, which was no small feat. Linnar exhaled, but nodded his head after taking a deep breath.

"Very well, go ahead." Graldin’s face lit up and he hurried to ask.

"Why are you so afraid of him?" Linnar’s facial expression changed from tiredness to disbelief.

"Really? That is the one important question you want to ask?" the Elf warden exclaimed. Graldin shrugged as he didn’t understand what the big deal was.

"Yes it is. Now if you would answer me, I would appreciate it very much." Linnar’s right eyebrow rose as he observed the Halfling, and then let out a chuckle.

"Bardos brought us here from another world. All of the Elves that had been living in different places of the world found themselves here, where Nyttherion was founded. Just as before, the tribes couldn’t get along with each other very well, so the ones that didn’t want to follow our seer and biggest tribe left in unknown directions. "More or less," she replied and walked on, never moving her eyes from the road beneath their feet. "I could have done better if luck wasn’t on your side. Your whole hand would have been cleanly cut off, but the arrow shifted in mid-air just enough to save you."

"Damn, you sure are one cold bride," Graldin commented.

"You know, we don’t need any more problems than we already have. You should have just died and not be sent to us. That way, we surely wouldn’t be getting any more problems that are sure to arise from you being here!" Her face was a mask of rage, and if given the chance, she would kill him for sure.

"Umm, I will tell you just one thing if you don’t mind. I have died multiple times already, and have been brought back by Bardos. Who are you to judge me?" The beautiful Elf woman scowled and looked away, dropping her side of the cart.

A few hours later they arrived at a very thick patch of forest. One couldn’t even see through the bushes and trees, except for a few glimpses of what lay beyond. Layer upon layer hugged the wall and kept strangers outside. The strange thing though was that the trees themselves were particularly high and wide. To him, they looked
